Twenty years ago this month, my dad handed me the worship leading ball at our little church in Florida. Pretty much every Sunday since then, I’ve had the privilege of that weekly ministry. God has been prodding me for a while to take a season off, to not be up front, to rest, and to recharge. I️ need it. Our wonderful community at Truro Anglican Church is sending my family and me off on a four-month sabbatical starting in February. We’ll be relocating to Central Florida while I️ take a full semester of classes at Reformed Theological Seminary, where I’m pursuing my master’s. We’ll be returning to Fairfax the first of June. Catherine Brown and I️ are deeply grateful for the gift of this upcoming sabbatical, and would be grateful for your prayers, while I️ step off the field for a season and put the worship leading ball down, that God would refresh and renew us, and prepare us for the next chapter.
