Yes, Jamie! I fellowship with worship leaders from that church! I admire the dedication of their volunteers! When Tim Hughes came to visit Manila and shared it with him over lunch, his eyes popped too! Well, it's more like he flipped!

This post is great, Jamie. Nice insights.

Our church is like Mariner's except that we have six weekend services- one on Saturday for Youth and Young Adults, and five on a Sunday! Of the six services, the Saturday evening has its own pool of three teams that take turns each month. And we have a service in the vernacular (Tagalog) at 3PM on Sundays that has two teams. For our English services (7,9,11AM and 6PM) we have four teams taking turns each month and thus, each team leads worship in all four English when it's its turn! Crazy, isn't it? That works for us because each team doesn't lead every Sunday! We provide meals, a WiFi-enabled lounge and endless streams of coffee, tea and fruit juice!

We do our English service run throughs every Saturday afternoon, and a five-minute sound check 30 minutes before the first service (6:30AM)!!! Our neighbor "megachurch" issues an even earlier Sunday call time at 5AM!

I can almost see your eyes popping out, Jamie!
